      Sharing Our Best Practices

To Succeed as a Commercial Real Estate Assessor

As an effective assessor in commercial real estate, there are a few key skills and qualities that one needs to cultivate. We share the best practices.

As an assessor, you will be responsible for examining a wide range of property-related documents, from zoning regulations to lease agreements to construction blueprints.

You’ll need to be able to pore over these materials with a fine-toothed comb, looking for any potential issues or discrepancies.

      Keen Eye for Evaluation

You’ll need to be able to accurately gauge the value of a property based on several factors, including its location, size, amenities, and future development potential.

This requires an ability to stay up to date on trends and developments within the real estate market, as well as a deep understanding of local property tax laws and regulations.

      Communication

You’ll be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, from property owners to local government officials to potential buyers or renters.

You’ll need to be able to clearly and confidently convey your findings and recommendations to these different groups, both in written reports and in oral presentations.

      Organized and Effective

You may be responsible for multiple projects at once, each with its own unique set of challenges and requirements.

You’ll need to be able to prioritize your tasks, meet deadlines, and keep detailed records of your work to ensure that everything is completed accurately and on time.
